How does Golero Trivia work?
Challenge another football fan, answer the same questions, and prove who knows more.
How do I start a Trivia duel?
Challenge a friend or let Golero find an opponent through matchmaking. Once the duel is active, you each play your own session with the same questions.
Can I choose a topic?
Yes. Where enough questions are available, you can filter by category, country, or competition. Without a filter, Golero selects from the available general football questions.
How many questions are in a duel?
A duel contains between 3 and 15 questions. The default is 10. Both players receive the same set, keeping the contest fair.
How much time do I have per question?
The standard limit is 8 seconds per question. Answer before the timer shown in the app expires; a late answer counts as incorrect. The on-screen timer is always decisive.
How do I score points?
Every correct answer earns 1 point. An incorrect or late answer earns 0 points. There is no extra speed bonus: correct answers determine your duel score.
Who wins the duel?
After both players complete their sessions, the player with the most correct answers wins. Equal scores result in a draw.
Does a duel affect my Trivia rating?
Yes. Completed duels count towards your Trivia rating. The result and the strength of your opponent determine how your rating changes.
How long is an invitation valid?
An open duel invitation expires after 72 hours by default. Start or accept it in time; the current status is always shown in the app.
Duel scoring
The score is deliberately simple and identical for both players.

The highest score after all questions wins. Response time is recorded for gameplay and statistics but does not award extra duel points.
