Delete or anonymize your account

1. How to request account deletion

If you are logged in to the Golero app, you can start the deletion request yourself.

• open the Golero app and sign in to your account
• go to your profile
• tap delete account
• confirm the action in the app

2. Which data is deleted or anonymized

After confirmation, the account can no longer be used as a normal personal account. Golero anonymizes or removes directly identifying profile and login data.

• the linked login and Firebase account connection
• the email address attached to the account
• nickname or display name, first name, and last name
• date of birth
• favorite club and similar profile preferences
• profile image and push notification tokens

3. Which data may be retained

Golero keeps certain gameplay data because otherwise pools, results, and historical rankings would break for other participants.

• predictions you submitted earlier
• points, badges, and ranking positions linked to historical pool standings
• historical participation records needed for results and archives

4. Retention period and effect of the action

Anonymization is applied once the request has been processed in the app. There is no separate additional waiting period before profile data is cleared.

Historical predictions, points, and ranking data may then be retained without a fixed end date for as long as Golero keeps historical pool standings and archives available.

5. If you cannot access the app

If you can no longer sign in but still want to make a request, contact Mumba at info@mumba.nl and include the email address that used to belong to your Golero account.
